Our Family's Journey Through Time

County Donegal, Ireland

Notes:
County Donegal is a county in the Republic of Ireland in the province of Ulster. It is the northernmost county on the island of Ireland. I mostly borders Northern Ireland and is given the nickname "The Forgotten County."  County Donegal was one of the worst-affected parts of Ulster during the Great Famine of the late 1840s in Ireland. Vast numbers of County Donegal's people emigrated at this time, primarily through Londonderry Port, now operating as Foyle Port.
