The journey of three ancestral families
Notes:
The Queensbury Patent of 1762 was a land grant authorized by the British Crown. It was named in honor of Queen Charlotte, wife of King George III. Quaker settlers established farms and homesteads from 1763-1777 when they abandoned it because of the military campaigns of the Revolutionary War. They returned after in the War in 1783. The Town of Queensbury was formed in 1786 and by 1788 the town included all of what is today Warren County. The hamlet of Queensbury is located in the east part of the town near the Queensbury-Kingsbury-Fort Ann town lines.
